T-Mobile announces Springboard availability and pricing

If you’re looking to get your hands on a budget tablet, T-Mobile and Huawei have the answer for you in the form of the Springboard Android tablet, which has officially been announced and will be made available from T-Mobile come 16th of November for $179.99 on a two year contract.

If you’re wondering what you will be getting for $179.99, the T-Mobile Springboard will sport a 7” 1280×800 display with a 1.2GHz dual-core processor under the hood. It will also feature a 1.3MP front camera and a 5MP rear camera that is capable of 720p HD video recording and will be running on Android’s Honeycomb 3.2.

Now if these specs sound familiar, it’s because the T-Mobile Springboard is actually the Huawei MediaPad, as it will be known in other countries. The difference here is that the Springboard will be able to support T-Mobile’s “4G” HSPA+ network, all of which doesn’t sound too bad for $179.99.
