Some iPhone 4S users are reporting SIM card issues

It looks like Apple’s new iPhone 4S can’t seem to catch a break. First it was reported that thanks to iOS 5, battery life on iOS devices is horrible, plus the update to iOS 5.0.1 did not seem to help either, at least that’s what the reports are saying. Now it seems that yet another problem is plaguing the iPhone 4S in the form of the SIM card.

Some users have reported that out of the blue an error message will appear on the iPhone 4S, stating that the SIM card is not installed or is an invalid SIM card. This is not really a widespread issue and it does not appear to affect any particular carrier, so we can’t be sure if this is a hardware, software or a SIM card problem.

Users have reported that they have managed to get this problem sorted out simply by going to their carrier and replacing the SIM card, so if you find yourself plagued by this error, perhaps a replacement SIM card is in order.
