Samsung trademarks “Galaxy Sleek” name for smartphones and tablets

Thanks to a recent trademark filing by Samsung, it has been revealed that the company has trademarked the name “Galaxy Sleek”. As we all know, Samsung has stuck with the Galaxy moniker and has used it to refer to their line of Android smartphones/tablets, such as the Galaxy S, Galaxy S2, Galaxy Note, Galaxy Tab, Galaxy Nexus, etc.

The trademark application is said to cover telephones, smartphones, mobile phones and tablet computers, and since the name “sleek” is hardly a mystery, we can only assume that whatever device Samsung has planned next will indeed be “sleek”. No official announcement yet, although we probably shouldn’t take this trademark filing as an indication that Samsung has plans to make an announcement any time soon.

After all, the trademarking of a name could be an indication of a future Samsung product that may just be an idea for now. Stay tuned!
