The original Samsung Galaxy S and its successor the Galaxy S II have done extremely well for themselves, so it’s not surprising that Samsung has plans to release a Galaxy S III, but in terms of hardware what can we expect from the Galaxy S III? Well for starters it seems that rumors have surfaced and have outed that the Galaxy S III will be a quad-core beast that will run on Samsung’s very own Exynos processor.

The Galaxy S III is expected to feature a 1.5GHz Exynos 4412 processor which is reportedly in a testing phase by Samsung. An upgraded GPU is expected as well, especially since Apple’s A5 processor has managed to surpass it. So when can we expect the Galaxy S III? We’re afraid that won’t be anytime soon although the best case scenario we can hope for is that the phone will be making an appearance at MWC 2012, held sometime in late February.
