Samsung Galaxy Nexus Verizon launch to be after 17th of November?

According to reports, the upcoming and highly anticipated Samsung Galaxy Nexus will be seeing a launch in the UK come 17th of November, which begs the question, what about those of us living in the US? According to the same sources, the Galaxy Nexus is scheduled to make an appearance on Verizon a week after the UK launch, at the earliest.

We’re not sure what is with the delay or if it is even true, but it seems that one of the reasons the Galaxy Nexus may be seeing a delay from Verizon is due to the removal of bloatware from the handset. Bloatware usually takes the form of apps and features installed by the carrier, that bring to the table little to no use, and often detracts from the user experience, which is why we wouldn’t be surprised if this rumor was true.

The Galaxy Nexus, being a Google Nexus device, was meant to deliver the Android experience to the user untainted and as Google had intended it to be, so for Verizon to delay the launch to remove the bloatware makes sense, even though it sounds like it could be a stretch. Either way, we’ll take this particular rumor with a grain of salt for now.
