RIM’s plans for their future lies in the hands of their new OS, BBX. The platform can currently be found on the Blackberry Playbook tablet, which sold less than impressive amounts. So what will RIM’s BBX smartphones look like? That is a question that many are probably asking, and here’s what’s been told so far.

RIM’s new BBX smartphones will feature a screen resolution similar to that of the Playbook, meaning that users can expect a 1024×600 resolution squeezed into a smaller frame, which could contribute to overall sharpness. Apps designed for the Playbook tablet will also be compatible with the smartphone and will come with support for BES, which debunked previous rumors that RIM’s first BBX smartphone will not be supporting BES.

As far as physical designs of the device are concerned, that one remains a mystery for now, although we’re sure that many Blackberry fans and loyalists can’t wait to find out.
