Nokia France reveals plans for a high-end Windows Phone device

Nokia France’s head may have let slip that the company has plans for a high end Windows Phone device. A recent interview revealed Les Echos’s comparison on Nokia phones with BMW cars, stating that the Nokia Lumia 800 was equivalent to a BMW 5 series, and that line up will be completed with a BMW 3 and 7 series equivalent model. We’re guessing that the 3 series here would be the Nokia Lumia 710, but as to what the 7 series may be about remains unknown for now.

The thing about Windows Phone devices is that its hardware requirements are controlled strictly by Microsoft, limiting what goes into the phone, which is why while Android and iPhones may be running on dual-core processors, with Android phones sporting 4G LTE connectivity, Windows Phone devices are still running on single core processors with no 4G LTE support.

The Nokia Lumia 800 specs aren’t too shabby and they look like they will be able to get the job done just fine, but if dual-core 4G LTE Windows Phone devices are a no-go at the moment, we have to wonder what sort of specs Nokia’s high-end Windows Phone device will be packing.
