Native Gmail app for iOS on its way?

Published

on

While iOS devices do come with a default Mail app, it does not offer the full functionality that comes with the Gmail app that Android users have been enjoying all this while. However that appears to be changing soon according to sources, who are claiming that Google has already submitted their Gmail app for iOS to Apple and are now waiting for it to be approved.

Unfortunately there are no photos or screenshots of what the app may or may not look like, but some of the features users can expect would be like Priority Inbox, one click starring of messages and perhaps some other features that can be found in the Android or web version of Gmail.

No word on when Apple will be releasing the native Gmail app, but either way if you own an iOS device and use Gmail extensively, this is probably an app you can look forward to and maybe your Android friends will finally stop making fun of you.
