Motorola Triumph gets unofficial Android 4.0 port

The Motorola Triumph is not the most impressive Android phone we’ve seen to date, but given its mid-ranged pricing it sure does make for an attractive purchase for those looking to get something above entry-level. While the device may or may not get the official Android Ice Cream Sandwich 4.0 update, a developer on the AndroidForums seems to have successfully ported Ice Cream Sandwich onto the device.

There’s still a lot of work left to be done on the port especially with a ton of features still not working, but for Triumph owners this will be good news because a successful port could mean that they will be able to enjoy ICS 4.0 without having to purchase a new smartphone, assuming of course Motorola decides to pass on the Triumph with an official update.

If you’re interested in checking the progress of the port, just head on down to the AndroidForums for more info.
