iPhone 5 gets referenced in iOS 5.1

The dust surrounding the iPhone 4S is barely settling but yet there are signs and rumors of Apple’s next-generation iPhone already popping up on websites. In this instance it seems that thanks to the iOS 5.1 beta, references to an iPhone 5 were spotted as pictured above.

So what can we expect from the iPhone 5? Well at this point it’s pretty much just speculation and wild guesses. If you have been following iPhone rumors for a while now, you will realize that a lot of claims and rumors usually end up being false. However for those interested, speculation has suggested that the iPhone 5 could sport Apple’s new A6 processor and will feature a larger 4” display and a new aluminum casing.

Apple’s theme so far has been to release their iPhones in stages, from the iPhone 3G getting a bump in speed to the 3GS, then to a redesign with the iPhone 4, a speed increase and slightly improved hardware with the iPhone 4S, and so if we were to follow that pattern, there is a chance the iPhone 5 could sport a major redesign. For now we’ll just take this with a grain of salt.
