iPhone 4S facing audio issues

Published

on

iPhone 4S users have been reporting that there are some issues with iOS 5 that cause their outgoing calls to not have audio. It seems that this problem has affected iPhone 4S users mostly, although there are scattering reports that this has affected other iPhone users as well.

The problem seems to be when the user places an outgoing call, there is no outbound audio, and there are reports that the user is unable to hear the other person talking when they answer. This sounds like it could be a network issue but both AT&T and Verizon customers have been experiencing similar issues.

A workaround has been found, which is to toggle the mute switch, although we’re guessing that this is an issue Apple needs to address ASAP, along with concerns about battery drain. The iOS 5.0.1 update is said to be in the works, and according to Apple, it will be released in the next few weeks.
