HTC HD2 receives Android 4.0 port

Good news folks, if you’re still holding on to your HTC HD2, it seems that a beta of a ROM for Ice Cream Sandwich 4.0 is now available for download! As the beta might imply, this is by no means a final build and appears to sport some minor incompatibilities and glitches, but apart from that it should be able to deliver HTC HD2 users the Android 4.0 experience.

Once again we have to caution you against downloading and installing ROMs especially if all of this is new to you, so proceed with your own risk! If you’re up for the task and you’re looking to experiment around a bit on your HTC HD2, the download link and instruction can be found on the XDA forums.

Then again even if you mess up your HTC HD2, it’s probably time to get a new phone anyway. Samsung Galaxy Nexus anyone?
