Best Buy issues correction notice on “Nexus Prime” name

A while back a Best Buy catalogue was leaked and it showed the Samsung Galaxy Nexus. However they instead referred to the device as the Samsung Nexus Prime, the name that many had originally thought would be the future name of the device. It was also speculated that Verizon could be rebranding the Galaxy Nexus as the Nexus Prime as an act of exclusivity.

Turns out someone at Best Buy got it wrong and has since issued a correction notice. It looks like the device will still be known as the Galaxy Nexus after all. We’re guessing there are probably some who might be bummed especially if they thought that the Nexus Prime was a cooler name.
