ASUS Transformer Prime to be released in Europe 6th January 2012?

Those living in Europe will be disappointed to hear that the ASUS Eee Pad Transformer Prime will only be launching in the Netherlands come 6th of January. We can’t be sure if this launch date will be only for the Netherlands or if it will blanket the entire European market, so we’ll leave it at that for the moment.

The Transformer Prime is the successor to ASUS’s successful Transformer tablet, and it will be the first tablet on the market to run on NVIDIA’s “Kal-El” Tegra-3 processor, making it the first tablet to sport a quad-core processor. The tablet was revealed to be released in time for Christmas, according to ASUS’s CEO.

As we said earlier, the 6th January release date remains unknown as to whether it is limited to the Netherlands, Europe or the rest of the world, but we guess we will have to wait and see to find out.
