We have heard about the ASUS Transformer Prime, and it was even revealed at the AllThingsD event not too long ago, but now it has gone official with its specs and its pricing, although there’s still no official confirmation of its launch date.

The ASUS Transformer Prime will feature a 10.1” 1280×800 Super IPS Corning Gorilla Glass display, with NVIDIA’s Tegra-3 quad-core processor under the hood. It will sport 1GB of RAM and come in either 32GB or 64GB sizes, a 1.3MP front-facing camera and an 8MP rear camera that is capable of 1080p HD video recording.

It will come loaded up on Android’s Honeycomb 3.2 but an Ice Cream Sandwich 4.0 FOTA update is expected to arrive on the tablet some time early December. It will come with a variety of ports, such as a microSD card slot, micro HDMI, a 3.5mm audio jack and even a USB 2.0 port with the keyboard dock attached.

The ASUS Transformer Prime will come in either Amethyst Gray or Champagne Gold, with the 32GB coming with a price tag of $500, while the 64GB model will set you back $600, with the optional keyboard dock sold separately for $150.
