ASUS Transformer Prime launch date revealed to be 9th November

If you have been looking forward to getting your hands on the ASUS Eee Pad Transformer Prime, it seems that a leaked document may have given away the release date for the tablet, putting it as a possible launch on the 9th of November, just a little over a week away.

The Transformer Prime would be the successor to the current Transformer tablet, which has done surprisingly well for itself. With the  Transformer Prime’s new design and new hardware specs, which include NVIDIA’s Tegra 3 “Kal-El” quad-core processor, this would make the Transformer Prime the first Android tablet to feature a quad-core processor. We wouldn’t be surprised if this alone would be the driving force behind the Transformer Prime’s sales.

Another leaked document has mentioned Android’s Ice Cream Sandwich along with the Transformer Prime, but if the tablet were to launch in November, it’s highly unlikely and close to impossible that it will be shipped with Ice Cream Sandwich. This is confirmed via ASUS’s Facebook page in Germany, who has stated that the tablet will come shipped with Honeycomb 3.x but will be upgradable to Ice Cream Sandwich 4.0 in the future.
