Sprint 3G network is slow, could it be due to the iPhone 4S?

Prior to the iPhone 4S being announced for Sprint, the carrier did not deny the rumors and instead said that their network will be capable of handling the influx of iPhone users, but unfortunately that does not appear to be the case. It seems that after the iPhone 4S was launched and with many users on Sprint’s network eager to adopt the brand new device, the network’s 3G speeds appear to have taken a dive.

There are about 45 pages worth of complaints in the Sprint forum where users are complaining about the horrible speeds they’re receiving. This isn’t just limited to iPhone 4S users but users of other devices as well, suggesting that perhaps the sudden influx of users to Sprint’s network could have drastically slowed the carrier’s 3G network down considerably.
