Pantech Vega headed to South Korea

If you’re living in South Korea, the good news is that Pantech has revealed the Pantech Vega, which on paper looks like a pretty decent phone with hardware specs comparable to that of the Samsung Galaxy Nexus. The device will sport a 1.5GHz dual-core processor with 1GB of RAM, 4G LTE connectivity, a 4.5” 720p display, 16GB of internal storage and a 1860mAh battery.

At the moment it looks like the Pantech Vega will be running on Android’s Gingerbread 2.3, but we won’t rule out the possibility that it will see an update to Ice Cream Sandwich 4.0 in the future. Unfortunately it looks like this device is limited to South Korea for now, and no word if Pantech has plans to release the Vega globally.
