Yes, it is official, Nokia has just announced two of their brand new Nokia Windows Phone devices, and to be honest there was nothing that we didn’t already know, thanks to various leaks in the past. We’re just glad that it has been made official and we’re now more excited  to see where these new phones will take Nokia.

Starting out with the Nokia Lumia 800, this device was previously known as Searay, and essentially it is the Nokia N9 just running on a different platform. This means that users can expect a 1.4GHz processor, an 8MP Carl Zeis Tessar 28mm camera that is capable of 720p video recording, a 3.7” ClearBlack AMOLED display and will run on Windows Phone 7.5.

The Nokia Lumia 710 will be the more “affordable” handset out of the two, but will similarly sport a 1.4GHz processor with 512MB of RAM, a 3.7” WVGA display and a 5MP rear-facing camera. It too will come loaded up with Windows Phone 7.5. No word on pricing or availability on both devices, but we expect more details to start emerging now that they’re finally official.
