Microsoft to release native Hotmail Android app

It’s without question that along with Android, Google has also brought in Gmail integration. Now it looks like Microsoft wants in on that and have announced that they will be bringing in a native Hotmail app for Android. At the moment there currently is a Hotmail app available on the Android Market, but it appears to be a collaboration between Microsoft and SEVEN, with the description claiming that this is the only official Hotmail app.

If that is the case, we’re not sure what Microsoft could have meant when they said that. Perhaps the Redmond company is looking to make their own app without SEVEN and calling it their own. Either way this upcoming app is said to feature two-way email, calendar and contact syncing. We’re sure that there are existing Hotmail users who should be pleased by this news.
