Mango fixes location data tracking/collection on Windows Phone

A while back Microsoft was facing enquiries by the House of Representatives as to the issue over location data tracking and collection. At that time they admitted it but claimed that it will be fixed in its next update – Mango (or 7.5). This appears to be the case according to Rafael Rivera, a collaborator of the Windows Phone jailbreak tool, ChevronWP7.

It was only a week or so back that he discovered that Windows Phone still collected and sent his location data despite saying no, in fact even going as far as caching the data before even asking the user if they would like to enable it. Either way if you were worried about location data tracking and storing of the data, fret not as Mango appears to have remedied the issue.
