Major redesign for iPhone 5, not iPhone 4S

Less than a week since the iPhone 4S started going on sale, new rumors surrounding the next-generation iPhone have already started making its rounds. As many of you guys who have been following the rumors probably know, the iPhone 4S was expected to see a major redesign, or so it was suggested based on leaked case designs. However as it turns out, it wasn’t true.

CNet has cited two sources of theirs claiming that it’s actually the iPhone 5 that will be seeing the redesign. If their sources are to be believed, apparently Apple’s late founder and chairman, Steve Jobs, was intimately involved with the redesign of the iPhone 5, and is expected to debut at Apple’s WWDC in the summer of 2012. Call us skeptical but debuting the iPhone 4S’s successor less than a year later seems highly unlikely. I guess seeing is believing.
