KDDI Japan reveals aggressive pricing for the iPhone 4S

If you’re living in Japan, and you’re looking forward to the iPhone 4S, the good news is that Japanese carrier KDDI will be offering heavily subsidized prices for Apple’s latest iPhone. According to reports, the iPhone 4S 16GB model will be offered up for free on contract at $65 with unlimited data. The 32GB will cost $135 and the 64GB will cost $269, all of which fall under the same terms of contract as the 16GB model.

These prices are a lot cheaper than what is being offered in the states, especially with a free 16GB model, it looks like KDDI hoping to gain some traction on Softbank, who previously held the exclusive title of being the only carrier in Japan to offer the iPhone.
