iPad 3 to be released in March 2012?

Looking forward to the iPad 3? Well if the latest rumors are to be believed, it could be released some time in March of 2012. This seems to be more or less on track with Apple’s yearly refresh of their products, but according to sources, the latest iPad is said to be under an “unusual rush schedule”. The reason is apparently due to the Chinese New Year and national holidays in China, which span from the 22nd of Jan to the 28th of Jan, which means that production will be out for a week.

According to photos by a parts dealer, the iPad 3 is expected to feature a smaller, redesigned dock connector which will still feature the same 30-pin input and electricity specification, just smaller in size only. Assuming this is true, this means that a lot of accessories will not be compatible with the iPad 3 and manufacturers will be forced to redesign their products or come up with an adapter of sorts.
