iOS Cards app lets you create and send cards in real life

iPhone users are probably familiar with the camera app, Instagram. It allows users to take photos and shares them on Intagram’s website, and it even lets you print those photos and send them to friends or family. WIth the unveiling of the iPhone 4S yesterday, Apple has also outed a new app called “Cards” (picture courtesy of TheVerge). Much like Instagram, Cards will allow you to create and design your own card from your phone itself.

When you’re doing designing them, Apple will turn them into reality for a mere price of $2.99 ($4.99 for the rest of the world). The cards are apparently printed on 100% cotton paper and are embossed, and you will receive a push notification when your card has reached its destination. The app will be free for download come 12th October, which is also the date where iOS 5 will be available.
