HTC Thunderbolt receives Ice Cream Sandwich ROM

So the HTC Thunderbolt is set to receive its update from Verizon, well more like an updated update that fixed the previous update’s bugs. Well deciding to skip ahead several versions, Jdkoreclipse has decided to forgo that update and instead opting to install the Android Ice Cream Sandwich 4.0 SDK on his Thunderbolt device.

The port was successful, but that’s about it. Nothing on his device seems to work, not even the touch screen, but we guess that’s what happens when you try porting the pre-alpha ROM to your device. Hopefully when Google finally releases the source code, workable ROMs will be up for download for those who can’t wait for their OEMs and carriers to release an update.
