HTC Sensation XL officially announced

HTC has officially announced the HTC Sensation XL, which many had thought would be called the HTC Runnymede. In terms of hardware, you can expect a 4.7”  WVGA display, a 1.5GHz single-core processor under the hood with 768MB of RAM. It will also sport an 8MP camera capable of 720p video recording, 16GB of internal storage (only 12GB is usable) and oddly enough it does not come with a microSD card slot for memory expansion.

The reason we find this odd is because this handset will be integrating Beats Audio technology, and the lack of memory card expansion seems to go against the nature of the device as we’re sure it will be quickly filled with songs and videos in no time. It will come bundled with a pair of in-ear Beats headphones, but there will be another version available which will give you a pair of Beats Solo headphones instead. It is expect to be released in November with Vodafone UK being the first carrier to offer it.
