EcoATM lets you trade old phones for cash

Do you have a ton of old phones that you have amassed throughout the years? Well instead of letting them collect dust, how about recycling them? EcoATM is a startup company that plans to take your used phones and give you cash in exchange. While this concept isn’t new, the delivery method probably is.

As opposed to selling your used devices on eBay or Craigslist or going to a shop, the EcoATM, as the name implies, is an “ATM” where you can deposit your old phone, and in less than 5 minutes receive cash for it. We’re guessing that the money they give you in exchange will probably be less than you could get on eBay, but for those who can’t be bothered to set up an auction and wait, this could be a quick and easy solution. The machine is expected to be installed in various popular shopping malls across the US.
