After much speculating and non-stop rumors, the iPhone 4S has finally been revealed. A bit disappointing for some who expected a radically different iPhone 5, but for those looking for an upgrade to their iPhone 3GS or iPhone 4, it looks like the iPhone 4S should do the trick nicely.

As the rumors had suggested in the past, and has now been confirmed, the iPhone 4S will run on a dual-core A5 processor and will sport an 8MP camera. The camera will feature an all new f2.4 lens and a hybrid IR filter that supposedly will produce sharper, brighter and more accurate photos. It will even be capable of recording 1080p videos, which might explain why there is now an iPhone 4S available in 64GB flavors.

Network speed is also said to have been improved on, with a new wireless system that Apple’s engineers have come up with. Download speeds have been increased to 14.4Mbps, up from the 7.2Mbps on the iPhone 4, thanks to the system’s intelligent method of switching between antennas. Battery life has also said to have been extended to 8 hours worth of 3G talktime. The iPhone 4S is expected to be up for pre-order 7th of October and will be available 14th October in for $99 for the 8GB model, $199 for the 16GB model, $299 for the 32GB model and $399 for the 64GB model.
