Analyst: iPhone 5 name to be used next year along with LTE connectivity

With the iPhone 4S just announced officially yesterday, it looks like rumors for the next iPhone have already started. While it is unknown what Apple will call their next-generation iPhone, analyst Will Strauss, who is the president of wireless chip market research firm Forward Concepts, has said that the iPhone 5 moniker will instead be reserved for next year’s iPhone.

He also went on to say that the iPhone 5 will feature LTE connectivity, a feature that was obviously left out of this year’s iPhone 4S due to LTE chipsets requiring Apple to compromise on their designs for the iPhone. While this is probably just an opinion, it should definitely be taken at face value and we shouldn’t really read too much into it. After all, Apple has always done what they wanted on their own schedule, why should the iPhone 5 be any different?
