ZTE T98 tablet will come equipped with a quad-core processor

We’re sure that there are many of you guys out there who can’t wait to get their hands on a quad-core tablet. We’ll admit that we’re just as eager, and if you’re looking for confirmation of the existence of quad-core tablets, ZTE may have something in store for you.

The company had unveiled its T98 tablet, which is 7” in size with Android Honeycomb 3.2 on board. It will also feature NVIDIA’s 1.5GHz Tegra 3 quad-core processor along with 1GB of RAM, 16GB of internal storage, a 5MP camera in the back capable of shooting 1080p videos along with a 2MP camera in the front.

However it seems that the tablet will only go as fast as 3G GSM speeds. Considering that 4G/LTE is expected to be the standard in the future, you would think that the ZTE would enable 4G/LTE connectivity. No word on pricing or availability at the moment.
