Verizon is taking Samsung’s side in the patent wars

Naturally with the Apple vs Samsung patent battle going on, there will be companies who will choose sides, and oddly enough Verizon appears to be taking Samsung’s side. Their CEO, Lowell McAdam recently came out and said that the injunction was not in the public’s interest and that it limited customer options while crippling the free flow of goods to Verizon and its customers.

Considering how Verizon was happily showing off the CDMA version of the iPhone 4 only a few months ago, it seems strange that they suddenly switched over to Samsung’s side, although we guess that they have their own reasons which we are not privy too. Perhaps Verizon is worried that the injunctions may somehow end up affecting the rumored Samsung Nexus Prime/Droid Prime that supposedly will arrive on the carrier in place of the Samsung Galaxy S2.
