If signing contracts isn’t your thing and you don’t like the idea of being tied down for two years on a phone that will probably be out of date in a few months, Verizon has just announced their $50 unlimited everything prepaid plan. The unlimited talk, text and web will be hitting Verizon stores and their retail partners this Thursday.

You will be able to get the Motorola Citrus Android handset for $250 with the prepaid plan, but unfortunately it’s not the most spectacular device around, but for $250 and $50 unlimited everything, it does seem like a steal.

It sports a 3” display with a 3MP in the back, and sad to say it looks like it will be running on Android Eclair 2.1, no word if that will be changing any time soon.
