Sony Ericsson has Ice Cream Sandwich on their roadmap

Google’s Android platform is notorious for being fragmented, with some devices coming with the latest build while some come with an older build. Then there are devices that get updates much later while everyone else is enjoying the latest build, and we’re guessing those are some of the concerns some users will have when it comes to the latest build, Ice Cream Sandwich.

Eric Schmidt announced that the latest version of Android is expected to roll out in October/November, and a Sony Ericsson rep has confirmed that their latest Xperia handsets will be updated to the latest version.

That’s good news for Sony Ericsson users but as to how long they will take before rolling out the update remains to be seen.
