What do you get when you combine a smartphone with a Panasonic Lumix camera? Well you get the LUMIX Phone 101P, which is a happy marriage between an Android smartphone and a Lumix camera. As expected, the device will feature an impressive camera in the form of a 13.2MP CMOS Lumix sensor with “Mobile Venus Engine”.

As far as other specs are concerned, it will feature a 1GHz dual-core TI OMAP processor, a 4” qHD LCD 960×540 display and will come loaded up with Android’s Gingerbread 2.3. Much like most of Japan’s smartphones, it will be water resistant and will feature a digital TV tuner along with an e-wallet function. Unfortunately no word from Panasonic if the device will see the shelves outside of Japan.
