Motorola Electrify headed to US Cellular

If you’re a US Cellular customer, you’re in for a treat as the regional carrier has announced plans to launch an Android smartphone called the Motorola Electrify. Based on the photo alone it appears that the device is more or less Sprint’s Motorola Photon 4G, and with similar specs to match.

Given how all the major carriers usually get the good stuff, it’s refreshing to see smaller carriers keep up and keep their customers happy with higher-end products like this.

The device will come with a 4.3” qHD display and will be running on a 1GHz dual-core processor under the hood. It will also sport 16GB of internal storage along with a rear-facing 8MP camera and a kickstand at the back to prop your device up while watching your shows. While no mention of which version of Android the device will come shipped with, given the decent hardware it’s safe to assume that it will come shipped with Gingerbread 2.3.
