Our smartphones allow us a lot of convenience. For example we can do online shopping from our smartphones, check our emails, have conversations with friends and family, making mobile payments through the use of NFC, and now it seems that we will soon be able to control our vacuum cleaners via our smartphones as well.

The LG Roboking VR680VMNC is a robotic vacuum that is said to debut in Korea some time this month. It features cameras and sensors so that it can find its way around your house while doing its cleaning. Since it connects to your home’s WiFi, you will be able to monitor (and possibly control?) the vacuum remotely. We’re guessing that LG will probably be releasing an app for this as well. The extent of smartphone control remains unknown at this point, but for now it appears that through the cameras installed on the Roboking you will at the very least be able to see where it is and what it’s cleaning.

The Roboking is expected to retail for 899,000 which is about $750 – a lot more than your typical vacuum cleaner. If you’re an early adopter perhaps this is one vacuum cleaner you may want to consider.
