Looking for a tablet but unwilling to drop $500-600 for the higher end models? Lenovo has unveiled at IFA their new IdeaPad A1 tablet, a 7” tablet with pretty competitive prices, assuming of course that hardware specs take a back seat and where budget is your priority.

The IdeaPad A1 comes in 3 sizes – 8GB, 16GB and 32GB but unfortunately the 8GB model will not be made available for the US market. They are priced at $199, $249 and $299 respectively and will feature a single A8 processor, dual cameras (front and back), and if you were hoping for Android Honeycomb 3.2, you’re out of luck as it will instead come with Gingerbread 2.3. No word on when it will start shipping.
