So Sony has recently unveiled their Walkman series, which essentially is like the iPod touch except running on Android. Now it looks like HTC has decided to enter the media player market too with their own Android offering, the HTC Beat. As the name implies, those looking to purchase this media player can probably expect integration of Beats Audio technology, much like the HTC Sensation XE and HTC Bass/Runnymede Android handsets.
Not much is known about the handset apart from the photo above, but it appears to be running on Gingerbread 2.3, and according to reports, much like the Sony Walkman and iPod touch, it’s almost like a handset minus 3G/4G and traditional voice call/texting capabilities.
