Last month, the Xiaomi M1 phone was announced but it appears that some changes have been made to the device, along with a price adjustment. The device is now called the “Xiaomi Phone” and it has been bumped up to a 1.5GHz dual-core Qualcomm processor, although it is also available in a 1.2GHz flavor.

It will also come with 1GB of RAM along with 4GB of ROM and will come loaded up with Android Gingerbread 2.3.5, featuring Xiaomi’s very own UI, the MIUI. It will also come with a 4” LCD by Sharp, sporting a resolution of 480×854.

The 1.5GHz model will be sporting a price tag of $310 and will be up for pre-order come August 29th, and is expected to start shipping in October. If you’re worried about the reliability of the device, according to the CEO of Xiaomi, the device has been put through the ringer, simulating 2 years worth of usage, and seems to be running just fine.
