Sony S1 will be known as Tablet S

If you have been following the news surrounding tablets, you’re probably aware that Sony has plans to launch two new tablets, the S1 and the S2. Granted they’re a bit late to the tablet game, with all the teasing and anticipation, a lot of people are curious as to how both tablets will hold up against the veterans in the market already.

However, it appears the S1 and S2 monikers were just code names and that the Sony S1 tablet will be released as the Tablet S. It is said to be running on the NVidia Tegra-2 dual core processor and will feature a display resolution of 1280×768.

Unfortunately no word on what the clamshelled S2 tablet will be named.
