When exactly do we start to draw the line between a big display and a display that’s just too big? The whole point of our phones is portability and at one point in time, phone manufacturers were putting out devices using tiny form factors as one of their marketing strategies. Now thanks to our phone’s abilities to surf the web, play HD and 3D movies, naturally a bigger screen would be required.

It appears that Sony Ericsson is rumored to be working on a new Android device that is said to not only play HD movies, but 3D ones as well and would be featuring a display that is 4.7″ with a resolution of 1280×720. Granted that the bigger the screen the better it is for surfing and playing movies, but will smartphone manufacturers come to the point where they start putting out devices that are too big to fit in our pockets?
