A while back we reported that Skype for Android was finally here. It was good and bad news, with the good news being that Android users will now have an alternative way to conduct video calls, with the bad news being that the app only supported a meager four handsets at its point of release.

The good news now is that Skype has updated its app, bringing it to version 2.1 and with the update brings further support for 17 Android handsets. Among these 17 newly supported handsets include the HTC Desire and Desire HD, the Samsung Galaxy S and S II and Sony Ericsson Xperia devices.
