Whether or not you are an Apple fan you still have to give credit to Samsung for their Super AMOLED displays which have produced some rather stunning images on their handsets. So much so that there were rumors about a month back that Apple were in talks with Samsung to utilize the Super AMOLED displays for their iPad 3’s. While we can’t confirm those rumors, as unlikely as they are, that’s how beautiful Super AMOLED displays are.

As it turns out according to Korean news site etnews, Samsung is currently working on a 7” Super AMOLED display which they’re speculating will be seen in the Samsung Galaxy Tab update which is said to be making an appearance this September.

The update of the Galaxy Tab is also said to be featuring Samsung’s Exynos processor as opposed to Qualcomm and could possibly be seeing Android’s Gingerbread 2.3 as opposed to the original Tab which came shipped with Froyo 2.2. Given that Honeycomb 3.2 has been optimized for 7” tablets we wouldn’t be surprised if Samsung went the Honeycomb route instead.
