Not content with just pushing out Android tablets, Samsung has decided to switch things up a bit with their Samsung Series 7 tablet that will be running on Microsoft’s Windows 7 platform.

It will feature a display resolution of 1366×768 and will be running on an Intel Core i5 processor, sport 4GB of RAM and a solid state drive instead of a regular hard drive. At the moment it sounds more like a notebook than a tablet, and based on the price that Samsung will asking? They definitely seem like notebook prices.

The base model featuring a 64GB SSD will set you back $1099 while the 128GB SSD model will cost you $1349 with a docking station and a Bluetooth keyboard. What do you guys think? Given the prices they’re asking for which you could easily get a laptop minus the touch screen, and for half the price you will be able to pick up a tablet, do you think the Samsung Series 7 tablets are worth it?
