Mobiado Grand Touch luxury smartphone runs on Gingerbread

When it comes to luxury phones, you don’t really think about its features or whether it’s running on a dual-core or how much RAM it has, but instead you focus on the bling that it comes with, i.e. how many carats is it, what sort of diamonds or precious stones are used, etc. Luxury phone maker Mobiado is looking to change that with their Grand Touch series of smartphones.

Essentially it appears that the Grand Touch series of smartphones by Mobiado are just Nexus S devices that have been dressed up for a fancy night around town, which means that despite their luxury offerings, these devices are actually useful.

They feature 4” Super AMOLED displays, 16GB worth of storage and on top of that they will also be running on Android’s Gingerbread 2.3 platform. Not too shabby, right? As far as the bling is concerned, the Grand Touch CNC is apparently made out of precision machined solid aircraft aluminum while the Grand Touch GCB is plated in 24k gold.

Unfortunately Mobiado has declined to comment on the price of their Grand Touch devices, but as with most luxury handsets, be prepared to experience a considerably lighter wallet/purse.
