Don’t you just hate it when there’s an issue with your phone and you have to make a trip back to your carrier’s store or the manufacturer’s retail outlet to get the problem fixed? We’re talking about the inconvenience of having to drive out, park the car and spend time in the shop, time which could be spent doing something more productive. As it turns out, LG in Korea has been enjoying remote assistance with their devices and now that service will be rolled out to the rest of the world.

As it stands, LG’s remote call services are available on premium Optimus smartphones such as the LG Optimus 2X, the LG Optimus Black and the LG Optimus 3D. Users will just have to register and the LG CIC agents will be able to wirelessly access the owner’s Optimus smartphone.

LG owners will also receive regular alerts of the most current updates although we’re not sure how this will work out in the US since updates made usually have to pass through the carrier first.

LG’s remote customer care services will be made available to customers in Europe, the Asia Pacific region and South and Central America throughout the second half of the year.
