Lenovo LePad A1-07 launches in China

Looking for a new tablet? If you’re living in China, it looks like the Lenovo LePad A1-07 might be coming your way. Unfortunately it does not appear that the tablet has been publicized much outside of China, which means there’s little to no chance we might be seeing it hit the US market.

Anyway for those living in China or if you were just curious as to what the LePad A1-07 has to offer, it appears to be a 7” device with a 1024×600 resolution that will be running on Android’s Gingerbread 2.3 as opposed to Honeycomb 3.2, which has already been optimized for 7” tablets. It is powered by a 1GHz TI OMAP processor with 512MB of RAM and 16GB worth of storage. It appears to have dual cameras, front and rear facing, and is priced at 2,500 Yuan, which is roughly $391.

By all account it does not look like a bad tablet, perhaps mid-ranged, but we wish that it came with Honeycomb 3.2 instead of Gingerbread 2.3.
