iPhone 5 to launch 7th October?

With all the rumors surrounding the release of the iPhone 5, which originally had it slated for September but has since been pushed to October, there has yet to be a fixed date, at least until now.

According to 9to5Mac, it seems that Apple will be unveiling the iPhone 5 in September and will start taking pre-orders come 30th September. The release of the phone is expected on the 7th of October, although it seems that the 14th of October could also be a possible date. The earlier date is because based on current production times, everything seems to be rolling along smoothly, although any unforeseen delays may cause the device to be pushed back.

We’re not sure how they managed to get their hands on these dates, but at least for now we have a specific date that we can look forward to, regardless the validity of the rumors.
