HP offering refunds for the TouchPad

Were you one of the those who eagerly rushed out to buy HP’s TouchPad, only to receive a rude shock when HP announced last week that they would be discontinuing webOS for tablets and smartphones? Well if you were worried that you got ripped off, not to worry as HP is offering a refund or reimbursement if you bought it through their website.

As far as retailers are concerned, Harvey Norman in Australia is offering a full refund or store credit. As for retailers in the states, HP is asking their retail partners such as Best Buy and Staples to honor the refunds that they themselves are offering. We’re not sure if Best Buy or Staples will be quick to comply or if they will comply at all, so you can try your luck or give it a while for HP to work out something with them.
